Missing ER24 staff member’s death ruled as suicide

BLOUBOSRAND - 'Cornelius Craukamp's death was self inflicted',says Douglasdale SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan.

ER24 staff member Corrie Craukamp found dead.

The ER24 staff member who went missing on 16 February was found dead on 19 February at around 7.15 am in Maroeladal not far from his home.

Cornelius (Corrie) Craukamp went missing after he had left his home in Bloubosrand to work.

Douglasdale SAPS spokesperson Warrant officer Balan Muthan said, ”Cornelius’ death was self-inflicted.”

According to ER24 communications manager Werner Vermaak, ”No date has been set for the memorial of Corrie. However, as soon as these details are known they will be made available.”

Craukamp was an ER24 inter-hospital transfer agent in the Emergency Contact Centre.
