According to Wood, ”The litter has fortunately been taken away and cleared up. However, the grass has not been cut yet, but they will start work on the parking lot at the end of February. So, I am still hopeful.”

· Fixing and refurbishment of the existing fence

· Installation of a security access control point (to deny access to traders and suspicious characters who do not have permission to utilise the area) and

Executive manager of Property Management, City of Joburg Property Company Fanis Sardianos said, ”The expected date of completion will be six months from commencement.”

”People who come here are complaining because there are lots of potholes and the grass is long. It is bringing the rats here. I, myself, am afraid of the rats,” said Sipho Ndlovu, who takes pictures at the Randburg Home Affairs parking lot.

Manager of Randburg Home Affairs Herman Lekalalcala said that he was very happy that the potholes are eventually being fixed.

“I am very much happy, at least my clients will be happy now.”
