BREAKING NEWS: Missing ER24 member found dead

BLOUBOSRAND - Cornelius Craukamp has been found dead.

The ER24 staff member who went missing on 17 February was found dead on 19 February at around 7:15 am.

Cornelius (Corrie) Craukamp went missing after he had left his home in Bloubosrand to work.

According to ER24 communications manager Werner Vermaak, “Craukamp’s car was spotted by members of the public not to far from his[Craukamp’s] house in Maroeladal near the Bloubosrand area. Er24 then went to the scene; the Douglasdale SAPS were also on scene. His dead body was found in one of the back rooms of the half built house. Detectives and Forensics were on scene.”

Craukamp’s car was also found and is believed to still be in good condition, according to Vermaak.

Douglasdale SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan said, ”At this moment in time all I can say is he was found deceased in a abandoned building.”

No further details could be obtained from the Douglasdale SAPS.

Craukamp was an ER24 Inter-Hospital Transfer agent in the Emergency Contact Centre.
