Hot 91.9FM in cahoots with Paul Beukes surprised his girlfriend Sandra Gouws with a marriage proposal on 13 February.
Beukes who is a fan of Hot 91.9fm called the station with a brave but brilliant plan to propose to his girlfriend.
Lisa Franck the producer of Michaela K’ s show, delighted by the idea, eagerly went ahead with the arrangements.
Michaela K host and medium with Gavin Singh got on-board with the plan calculating the numbers (birth dates of the couple) and decided that it was a great opportunity to share some love on Friday the 13th.
Beukes asked Gouws to accompany him to Hot 91.9fm for a reading by Michaela K on their relationship compatibility.
Completely unaware Gouws conversed with Michaela K about what her numbers said about her and Beukes in turn.
The couple went to school with each other years ago at Kuswag Skool in Amanzimtoti, the recently met up and had been dating seriously since September 2014.
The time came for Beukes to pop the question.
In a beautiful and eloquent speech he ended with, ”It’s my heart, it’s a gift I want to give to you for the rest of my life. So I ask you for your hand in marriage?”
Gouws gasped seemingly in shock and said yes. With a beautifully decorated station, rose petals were thrown, fancy bubbly was popped
and everyone celebrated with tearing congratulations.
