Motorcyclist seriously injured in Bryanston

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Bryanston on the morning of 11 February.

Netcare Media Liaison Officer Santi Steinman explained that the accident occurred on the corner of Sycamore Avenue and Ballyclare Drive.

“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a motorcycle and motor vehicle were involved in a side-impact accident,” Steinmann said.

“Paramedics found the motorcyclist sitting on the side of the road and upon assessment found that she had sustained serious injuries.”

The occupants of the motor vehicle were not injured. The injured woman was treated on scene and then transported to hospital for further care.

“Exact details surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation,” Steinman added.
