A warning has been issued for residents in Weltevreden Park to be on the lookout for a suspicious male and female who go around and ring intercoms to gain access to properies, where they then allegedly steal residents’ belongings.

Greg Pearce from Community Support Services said that their modus operandi is that they ask to gain access to a property to make a phone call to someone to come and pick them up. “As the female talks over the intercom the male hides away out of sight,” added Pearce.

CPF Sector 2 chairman Neville Burnett concluded and said, “Domestic workers should not allow them in and if anyone spots them they should immediately contact the Sector 2 patrol vehicles on 071 675 7102 and 071 675 7112.”
