Rand Park 2015 inter house swimming gala

Rand Park Primary School hosted their inter house gala on 23 January for all the houses to show their spirit.

The event commenced with the grand parade consisting of the four houses, Falcons, Ravens, Hawks and Eagles.

Each house had a turn to walk around the swimming pool ending in an outstandingly loud war cry.

Principal Nic Pienaar welcomed parents, pupils and staff alike to the swimming gala.

Each house was decorated in a different theme, leprechauns, fire marshals, minions, and sailors.

The first race was the junior medleys consisting of back stroke, breast stroke and freestyle.

The winner of the first junior girl’s race was Kelly Anderson.

The winners for the day are:

• 2nd, Eagles.
• 3rd, Falcons.
• 4th, Ravens.
• Spirit Cup, Ravens.
• Best dressed, Falcons.
• Senior victor ludorum, Daniel van der Merwe.
• Senior victrix ludorum, Jenna van Niekerk.
• Junior victor ludorum, Thomas Anderssen.
• Junior victrix ludorum, Kelly Anderssen.
