Linden police involved in a shootout

SHARONLEA- Car chase and police shootout ends in President Fouche and Malibongwe Drive.

Douglasdale Police arrested a man after a dead body of a female was found at the back of his bakkie.

A shootout involving the Linden SAPS and a silver VW Polo ensued in the early hours of 24 January.

The silver VW Polo allegedly escaped a routine vehicle check point in Linden on Hans Schoeman Drive. According to Captain Alex Vermaak of Linden Police, “The police gave chase to the car which ultimately led to the scene at the garage.”

Warrant Officer Carol Mulamu spokesperson for Linden SAPS is currently investigating what actually happened in the incident. Apparently one suspect may have been arrested.
