Randburg Police have opened an inquest and are investigating after a dead body was found in the toilets on 22 January.
According to the Colonel Andries Odendaal, of Randburg SAPS “On 22 January at 5.20pm an employee of one of the shops in Ferndale Village in Randburg, discovered the body of a 37-year-old white male lying on the floor in the male bathroom of the Ferndale Village Shopping Centre in Randburg. The locked door was broken down and paramedics and the police were called out to the scene.
The person was declared dead by the paramedics on the scene. An inquest into the cause of death was opened by the police and is being investigated at SAPS Randburg.”
Ferndale Village shopping management was contacted but refused to comment.
