A story of encouragement

North Riding – Ntimbwe Mpamba shares how he learned to love the HIV virus that he was born with.

Ntimbwe Mpamba shares his life journey of living with HIV.

He said he wants to encourage those living with the virus to keep strong and healthy and warn the youth.

Mpamba, a resident of North Riding, only found out at the age of 23 that he had the virus.

He later discovered from a family member that he had the virus from birth.

Now 32 years old, he wants to spread the message that people do not need to look at those living with the virus as a weakling or an outcast but rather as strong people with even more reason to live and prove to others the impossible.

“Most people are in denial. I was in denial, I didn’t understand the virus at first. I then realised you don’t fight the virus – you have to love the virus to find its weakness; if you don’t it will only kill you faster,” said Mpamba.

“I am not currently working but I am working on motivating – that is my main aim right now. I have also written a book titled Crushed yet not distroyed, the secret that saved my life.

He advises those living with the virus to always take their medication, live a healthy lifestyle by exercising, eating right and always stay hydrated.

Mpamba lives by this:

A – Adapt

B – Be Bold

C – Courage to carry on.

He asks anyone living with the virus and who has any questions or needs motivation to contact him.
