Boskop Primary’s great Grade 1’s

HONEYDEW – First day of school for these first graders was filled with fun.

The halls at Boskop Primary were filled with the sound of excited giggles and joy as many Grade 1s began their first day of their school career.

The first grade teachers at the school certainly had their hands full as the school boasts with five Grade 1 classes, each containing a minimum of 38 children.

When the first graders were asked what they would like to be when they grow up, a few very ambitious young girls proudly proclaimed they want to become doctors. A good number of the boys said they want to become crime-fighting policemen.

Katlego Rakhomo and Unathi Kambule had other ideas, however.

“I want to be Spiderman,” Rakhomo exclaimed. Kambule piped up and said, “I’m going to be Superman!”

Fellow classmate Ashleigh Dzomba is most likely to become a comedian, though. “When I grow up,” he said wryly. “I want to be a grown man.”
