Laerskool Unika Primary School welcomed their new and returning pupils on 14 January.
Parents started arriving at the school from as early as 7am.
Teachers waited inside their classrooms to welcome their new pupils.
Principal of Laerskool Unika Primary School Sieg Schaefer said, “We welcome all our new Grade R and 1 pupils and wish them all the best for 2015, may all their dreams come true.”
Head boy Kyle van der Merwe, deputy head boy Pieter-Jan Bosman, head media boy Jacques Tredoux, head girl Simoné Shirley and deputy head girl JohnéAucamp all arrived early at school to welcome the pupils to their school.
“Aliza was very excited, too excited, she couldn’t even sleep she was up from 6am and in her uniform,” said mom Cecilia de Beer.
Arno de Beer, Aliza’s father, added that his daughter could not wait to get to school in the morning for her first day.
We wish all our pupils a wonderful 2015, remarked Schaefer.
