Be one in a million

ROODEPOORT — Local organisations pledges to feed one million children everyday in 2015 with the help of the community.

The Joint Aid Management (JAM) in South Africa is asking you to help feed a million children every day in 2015.

The campaign encourages people to pledge R360 that would go toward feeding one child for the whole year.

Each child will be provided with a nutritious meal in the organisation’s signature Red Bowl.

The festive season may be a time for family vacations and family get-togethers but it essential to keep in mind that more than two million children in the country go to bed hungry every day. The Be 1 in a million Christmas campaign hopes to install positive change this season and provide a million children with their 75 per cent daily nutrient requirements.

Abigail Mapara from JAM said, “We believe that if everyone, who is a friend and supporter of JAM, joins together to help feed one child this Christmas; we can feed one million children, and more, in 2015. Each child you support means one less child with an empty, aching stomach.”
