MULDERSDRIFT – The driver of a bronze Toyota Hilux truck was fortunate enough to escape with only minor injuries after he accidentally wrapped the vehicle around a tree. Vertically upright.
The incident happened on the N14 highway between the Malibongwe Drive and Beyers Naudé Drive off ramps on 22 November according to ER24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak.
“The man, believed to be in his ’30s, only suffered surface lacerations after climbing out of the vehicle himself,” continued Vermaak. “It is still unclear how the incident happened, but there are speculations that either another driver had cut him off or that one of his tyres had burst.”
Vermaak concluded that another medical assistance team had attended to the scene and that is was unclear which hospital the driver was taken to.
