OLIVEDALE – Netcare Olivedale Hospital is selling Vetkoek with curry mince for R15.

Staff at Netcare Olivedale Hospital are selling vetkoek with curry mince every Wednesday to raise funds for Children’s Haematology Oncology Clinics (Choc).

The food is made in the hospital’s kitchen, by its own staff.

Choc Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa claims on its website to “provide holistic support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families”.

The food is sold for R15, from 10.30am every Wednesday for the next “month or two”, at the hospital.

The curry is not that spicy, for those sensitive to the hot side of the food spectrum. Parking at the hospital is also free.
