Your article in Randburg Sun of this week [week ending 17 October ]refers.

We need a check in our worldclass city on all the informal settlements mushrooming on any open piece of land across the City of

Johannesburg.

People are living on any open piece of land now – be it a park, a stream with servitude etc.

There is a reason why this process should be managed.

People are living on a stream on Kowie Road between Kelley and C R Swart.

Even cattle graze here. Longer than seven months.

It is not an area for settling.

There are no services, there is no ablution – it was supposed to be an open green area.
