Silverstar’s multi-million Rand development is now complete and the additions to the ultimate West Rand family destination are truly spectacular.
Guests can look forward to being greeted with a smile by welcoming staff when making their way to the new entrance and drop-off area. The entrance is a true feast for the eyes and features beautiful artwork and chandeliers. It also includes a dazzling water feature that straddles a stone retaining wall. At the center of the feature, a Strelitzia flower sculpture stands tall, the epitome of aesthetic pleasure.
Once you step inside the property, you will find six new cinemas, all showcasing the latest technology 3D screens; a 12-lane bowling alley as well as a 450 m² hi-tech laser tag facility in the entertainment zone. An upmarket indoor multipurpose events venue has also been constructed as part of the upgrades.
In addition, fast food outlets such as Raj, Steers, Mi-Vami and Noodle Bar will also form part of the indoor dining mix at the new-look Silverstar. These restaurants will be located opposite the entertainment zone and will have one centralised seating area on a mezzanine level.
Visitors who prefer the open air are encouraged to wonder to the outside square where they’ll find a host of new restaurants such as Calisto’s, Col’Cacchio’s, Vigour & Verve and Kai Thai. Children will find pure delight in the interactive water feature, where they can play during the hot summer months.
The square also includes a Boktown area which features a massive 62m² state-of-the-art high definition screen which will allow avid sports fans to catch the latest games.
Another attraction is an outdoor domed events arena called ‘The Globe’ that will be the new venue for world class expos and large-scale events. This arena will play host to the upcoming NationWILD Comedy Tour featuring Trevor Noah on 15 and 16 November and will also house the much anticipated Tutankhamun exhibit from 02 December.
