Beauty pageant for elderly
BORDEAUX – Garden Village hosts annual beauty pageant. Awards were also given for best traditional clothing, and the best hat.
Garden Village recently hosted its annual beauty pageant, Mrs Garden Village. The ladies dressed so that their outward appearance matched their inner grace. Apart from the main beauty pageant, women also competed in fancy hat and traditional clothing competitions.
“I had the biggest surprise of everyone,” said Eileen Nel, who won the title of Mrs Garden Village 2014. “It was a lot of fun. I have to credit the management of Garden Village, who often go out of their way to make us happy.” Jacky Ford was the first runner-up (the first princess) and Carol Cooper was the second runner-up (the second princess). Jane Kolia won the best traditional clothing award. Nicky Hoffman wore the best hat.
