The fire recently in Kya Sands was devastating to many people and our hearts go out to those families who lost so much but also to the

many animals living in the area.

Many dogs that were tied up were burnt to death and many others badly injured.

I own the Bromhof Vet in Randburg and we would like to help wherever possible and challenge the Randburg Sun readers to do the same!

A team from here is headed there as I write this to try to collect dogs with injuries or burn wounds and bring them back to the clinic for treatment.

However there are some other amazing vets and welfares also all giving a helping hand and we would like to offer them assistance where

possible.

We are requesting assistance in the form of donations of dog food, blankets or financial contributions – all of which can be dropped off at our

vet clinic in Randburg – the corner of Ostrich and Witogie streets – directly opposite the main entrance to Rhema Church – and we will distribute these to the necessary places where they are needed.

We would like to make a special mention and thank you to the Blue Bush Animal Clinic for the hard work they have already done on this and any money donated toward this cause will be paid over to them to help cover costs of treating the 13 animals they have in their care from the disaster at the moment.
