Domestic Watch meeting in Blairgowrie

Discover Blairegowrie Domestic Watch's new security tips.

Lets get ‘MAD’ (Making a difference) held their monthly Domestic Watch meeting on 19 September at Christ Church in Blairgowrie.

MAD hosts these meetings to allow an honest and happy environment in which domestic staff, such as gardeners or domestics can meet each other.

In conjunction, they also discuss numerous crime tips for the area in which they host them.

The tips serve as safety measures for the staff, as they are often left alone in the homes they work or live at all day.

In this month’s meeting, Annie Conway explained to the guests that, “We should not live a life of habits.”

The tip being to change up the habits that we have developed in our daily lives, such as taking the rubbish bin out every day at the same time.

Conway suggests that this makes staff and homes vulnerable to break-ins due to the thieves’ vigilance on houses in the neighbourhood.

The next meeting for Blairgowrie will take place at Christ Church, 32 Gordon Rd, on 24 October at 10am.
