The Brightwater Commons saw the 10th boxing tournament on 13 September.
The Boxing@Brightwater was co-hosted by Fountainhead Retail Asset, Brightwater Commons and Randburg Boxing Club.
The crowd gathered around the ring to view 24 fights of all weight divisions and from clubs all over Johannesburg compete in this tournament.
Big names punched through at the event such as Hekkie Budler ‘The Hex-ecutioner’ WBA and IBO minimum weight champion signed gloves for an auction fundraiser that will happen later at the shopping centre.
Ashley Fourie from Randburg Boxing Clubs remarks, “This is the 10th year we are running this event; it is showcasing boxing talent from all over and it entertains a crowd that would not usually get to see boxing in an event like this.”
The fights ranged from the tiny to the mighty blood, sweat and punches were seen throughout all of the courageous fights held.
