BREAKING: Robbers shoot at security

FONTAINEBLEAU – Would-be robbers attempt to burglarise a home, but swift action from security companies foiled their plans.

FONTAINEBLEAU – Shots were fired in Fontainebleau in the afternoon hours of 13 September as robbers made a brazing escape.

Two would-be robbers attempted to break into a home in River Road, but an alarm went off when they opened a door which alerted Trojan Security, Community Support Services (CSS) and Linden police, who responded within minutes.

The suspects shot at Trojan Security guards, who were first to arrive on scene, but managed to jump over neighbouring fences in order to escape.

Both Linden police and CSS combined forces with Trojan Security to find the suspects, which unfortunately yielded no results.

“We can confirm that the owners of the home were not present at the time of the attempted robbery, and that no one was injured,” stated Captain Alex Vermaak from Linden Police Station. “We will continue to investigate.”
