MBD Credit Solutions collects books for the underpriviledged

See how a corporate in Randburg is celebrating National Book week.

This week is National Book Week.

The country as a whole have their noses buried in books in order to promote the culture of reading to the youth and greater society.

MBD a credit solutions company, based in Randburg, will be collecting books for the month of September for their ongoing Corporate Social Investment (CSI) called ‘Education is Key’.

The company challenges their staff to come together in teams to donate books to the drive, with the use of varying strategies.

At the end of the month they will be handed to the Julius Sebolai Primary School in Braamfischerville, Soweto.

Last year the drive collected over 1 500 books for the school.

This year they hope to surpass their previous total by collecting between 5 000 to 6 000 books which will fill the new library to capacity.

This is a clear example of how corporate industries all over the country can aid in the mission to get our children reading again.
