Women in Bloubosrand and surrounding areas were visited by Today’s Woman International and Scorpion Legal Protection at a Women’s Month event on 23 August. Today’s Woman International is a group of women from Christian churches around Johannesburg that aims to uplift women of all backgrounds.
Bishop Prisca Soko encouraged women to venture into entrepreneurship using their hands to start small businesses and fend for
their own families. Lunch was also served to the women. “Women here need empowerment,” said the organiser of the event, Abigail Magwenzi. “We want to give them hope and spiritual upliftment”.
