Entrepreneurs must stick together

BRYANSTON – Randburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry Executive Committee Member says entrepreneurs can help each other succeed.

Craig Shelley, Executive Committee Member (ECO) of the Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says that it is in the interest of small business owners to help each other.

“The biggest challenge for entrepreneurs is finding the next paying client,” he says.

“There is so much you can control in business, but not this as much. The smartest way is to build a network of people around you who would like you to succeed.”

He continues that an entrepreneur who gathers around him or her other entrepreneurs and small business owners will gain experience, find new clients, and receive valuable advice and support.

“In the last two years, about 450 000 business in South Africa failed,” he adds.

“Many did not have access to companies with expertise. Being an entrepreneur is lonely, but if you chat to other business owners you can find advice and a support structure.”

Shelley is the owner of Just ask!, which is a national business referral networking company based in Bryanston.
