The Novalis House and Enterprises held a fun day which was visited by Sasol Intellectual Property (IP) department on 15 August.
The event hosted a wide variety of activities from baking, to manicures and sports – the profits were used to fund the home.
The workshops held by Novalis Enterprises allow for people with physical and mental disabilities to be integrated into the ‘working world’ after school.
Often the people that work there are given contracts by companies such as folding and inserting documents into envelopes or making up of corporate gift presentations.
These contracts help the individuals with useful cognitive and motor skills, at the same time serving as a vital source of revenue for the organisation.
