Assorted animals up for adoption at SPCA Randburg

NORTH RIDING – Would you care for a pig, a turkey, a goat or an emu?

Dogs, cats, rabbits, roosters, a turkey, a goat, a pig, and an emu are available for adoption at SPCA Randburg in North Riding.

The non-profit organisation ensures that the animals are clean, healthy, dewormed, exercised, vaccinated and sterilised before adopted into a human family.

Its inspectors also conduct pre-home inspections to check that the animals will fit in at their new homes.

The emu was found “running around Randpark Ridge”, said general manager at SPCA Randburg Craig Rudman.

Kennel manager at the organisation Leigh Beaufort said that if the organisation were not temporarily keeping the animals, they would be roaming the streets.
