A delightful matinee of entertainment

JUKSKEI PARK – Methodist Homes Retirement Village, Summerfield Park, hosts a talent show.

JUKSKEI PARK – Residents of the Methodist Homes Retirement Village, Summerfield Park, recently collaborated to host a talent show for an afternoon of light entertainment which was enjoyed by fellow residents at the home.

The show consisted of beautiful and memorable songs by Jean Schulper and Marita Zimmerman, who sang haunting descants of times gone by.

Sue Webster contributed her talents to the show by singing classic Spanish songs.

The male residents also lent a hand with the quirky anecdotes by Bill Reynard and the comical musings of Paul Hardingham.

The director of the show, Ken Fuller, complimented all the entertainers with classic piano.

“Doing shows like these get our residents excited,” said the home’s manager, Carl Folbrecht, “it’s wonderful to see them all laugh and join in.”

Summerfield Park is a retirement village in the Methodist Homes Group with some 300 residents in various accommodation from a frail care centre and rented flats to privately owned units, and is just another prime example of the jewels in Randburg’s crown.
