The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history, while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its cross-hairs. With help from a new cast of humans, Optimus Prime and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is the fourth installment of the Transformers franchise and with any sequel, it is difficult to beat the first movie. This is very true with Age of Extinction, yes there was tons of action and a few nail-biting moment, but overall it fell a little short. Another thing that might have taken away from the excitement was the length, I was board and the last 45 minutes seemed to drag on for ever.

VERDICT: I think the Transformers franchise has seen better days and it is now time to quit while they are ahead. Although the end of the movie, hinted there may be a follow on, I can’t see how the makers will reinvest the story again. As a Transformers fan, I expected more.
