Bursaries awarded at glamorous advertising awards

RANDBURG – AAA School of Advertising ensures bright future for students.

The AAA School of Advertising based in Kensington B handed 17 bursaries to current students on 10 June at the glamorous Apex Awards held at Sandton Convention Centre.

“The Apex Awards are the advertising industry awards that reward the effectiveness of advertising and communications campaigns,” said Franco D’Onifrio, spokesperson for the school. “Those that make a difference to the bottom line of brands.”

Hosted by the Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA), who owns the school, the awards was a strictly black-tie affair filled with bow ties and ball gowns.

“Through the generous participation of partners and sponsors, these bursaries were awarded to deserving students of both the school’s Jo’burg and Cape Town branches,” continued D’Onofrio, “in order to ensure that they are able to complete their studies and enter the marketing and communications industry in order to make a difference.”

To add a feather to Randburg’s cap, four of the recipients are from the area. Kelly Mamphike is from Ferndale, while Elzanri Kirsten comes from Honeydew. Eugene Enslin lives in Constantia and Karabo Ganzini is a Northgate resident.
