Zuma announces new cabinet

President Jacob Zuma has announced his new cabinet for his final second term on Sunday at Tshedimosetso House in Hatfield, Pretoria with some major changes.

Zuma said the changes will help drive radical socio-economic change over the next five years.

He announced that the aim of the new ministry was to get more value out of the telecommunications sector. “Our country has a fast growing telecommunications sector which in 2012 was estimated at being worth R180 billion.”

The new cabinet has 35 ministers – only 14 managed to be retained to their positions.

Zuma started by announcing Cyril Ramaphosa as the deputy president of the country.
