R4 670 was raised for charity during a fun-filled charity bowls day at the Randburg Bowls Club, Boskruin, on 27 April, organised by Vanda Clarke.
Participants were placed in random teams, although not being allowed to play with family members, and the winning team won three bottles of wine, while the losing team won carrots.
Spot prizes were awarded to players, such as the lead who bowled the ball closest to the Jack, and the player who was the first to bowl the ball into the ditch.
The funds will be donated to Hospice West Gauteng, which is based in Krugersdorp.
