RANDBURG – ANC and DA compete, EFF arises.

The results of the general elections are out, with the African National congress (ANC) winning nationally (62.15 percent) and Gauteng (53.59 percent), but how did the parties do locally?

The final voting results for provincial ballots cast at eight voting stations in Randburg are as follows:

Blairgowrie – IR Griffith Primary School

Democratic Alliance (DA) 1872 votes (80.93 percent)

African National congress (ANC) 310 votes (13.4 percent)

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) 60 votes (2.59 percent)

Cosmo City – Cosmo City Ext 6 Secondary School

African National congress (ANC) 1962 votes (73.24 percent)

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) 460 votes (17.17 percent)

Democratic Alliance (DA) 179 votes (6.68 percent)

Ferndale – City Power

African National congress (ANC) 393 votes (17.21 percent)
