Linden voting results

LINDEN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) has 80.1 percent of regional votes , leaving Ward 99 councillor highly impressed.

Election results are currently being captured, and various parts of Randburg already have tallied votes.

From those ballots cast at the Hoërskool Linden voting station, the Democratic Alliance is currently leading regionally with 82.1 percent nationally and 80.1 percent regionally.

The ANC had 10.85 percent of the national votes and 10.85 percent of votes regionally. The EFF had 2.42 percent of votes nationally and 2.85 percent of votes regionally.

Ward 99 [Linden] councillor Bruce Herbert said, “I would like to believe that the people voted for the Democratic Alliance because of the work that they have seen us do. This is their way of the thanking us for the work we have done, and the work we are doing. I am thankful to the residents for their support.”

“We remain on track to complete the count, capture and audit of results for these elections in good time. And we remain on track to record the highest total number of votes cast for an election in South Africa’s 20 year history of democracy,” said IEC chief Electoral Officer Mosotho Moepya.
