NORTHWOLD - Preliminary results for votes made at the Northern MLC Club in Northwold show that the Democratic Alliance (DA) is way ahead of the pack, winning 72.69 percent of the national ballots and 77.4 percent of provincial votes.

DA’s Ward 101 Councillor Ralf Bittkau, who is already responsible for the area, was impressed with the turnout of the results.
“I am very happy with the results,” he said joyfully, “I feel great about it.”
According to the Independent Electoral Commisions, results from the Northern MLC Club voting station in Northwold as at 12.22pm on 09 May are as follows:
National ballots:
Democratic Alliance (DA) 1735 votes, 72.69 per cent.
African National Congress (ANC) 402 votes, 16.84 per cent.
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) 109 votes, 4.57 per cent.
Vryheidsfront Plus (VF PLUS) 38 votes, 1.59 per cent.
United Democratic Movement (UDM) 32 votes, 1.34 per cent.
Provincial ballots:
Democratic Alliance (DA) 1774 votes, 77.4 per cent.
African National Congress (ANC) 337 votes, 14.7 per cent.
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) 97 votes, 4.23 per cent.
United Democratic Movement (UDM) 18 votes, 0.79 per cent.
Vryheidsfront Plus (VF PLUS) 17 votes, 0.74 per cent.
