Both signs in Fontainebleau Park are misspelled, differently. One reads “Fontaine Blaeu Park” and the other reads “Fountaineblaeu Park”.
This confusion is also compounded by fact that there are vagrants living in the park and allegations about gambling, drugs, crime and indecency acts (See Parks in Fontainebleau unsafe). Furthermore, City Parks’ maintenance of the park is also deemed ineffective by residents (see City Parks disappoints). Therefore, the misspelled signs must be the cherry on the cake. City Parks’ Noeleen Mattera, who is currently overseeing the entity’s public relations, did not respond to inquiries about the park’s signs by the time of going to print. Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood also did not respond by the time of going to print.
