To avoid the post Christmas hangover the Randburg Bowls Club in Boskruin will host a fun bowls tournament from 26 to 29 December.
This is a first tournament of its kind. The emphasis of the tournament will be on fun bowls and will be open to all levels of players, from a total beginner to an experienced provincial player. There is no special dress required apart from flat shoes.
Entrants do not need to play in every session and points will be allocated to each player for every session.
Club president Laurie Stafford said the club felt that there were many people in Johannesburg over the festive season, both bowlers and aspirant bowlers, that were looking for activities during the week between Christmas and New Year.
The tournament will take place on the following days:
- 26 December at 9am
- 27 December at 2pm
- 28 December at 2pm
- 29 December at 9am
