A safety meet-and-greet

Upon your arrival home, an ADT officer will meet you, ensuring your safety.

With follow-home crimes still very common in South Africa, ADT Central Region Managing Director Clive Humphrey recently urged residents to make of use of security companies’ meet-and greet-services.

“There are still reports of motorists being followed from the airport, banks and shopping centres. It is important to remember that a number of security companies offer their clients a meet-and greet-service. An officer will meet the client at their residence and ensure they get to their destinations safely. The officer will also generally do an inspection of the premises on arrival to ensure everything is safe.”

Humphrey explained the service is a valuable crime deterrent. The service is freely available and residents have no reason to take chances. “If you find yourself in a situation where you suspect you are being followed, drive to your nearest police station or security guard hut or boom and ask for help.”
