Jungle gym facelift

KENSINGTON B - Resident Association re-paints old equipment in park

The playground equipment in Kensington Park on the corner of Sirdar Street and Abingdon Road has seen better days.

The bright rainbow colours of the jungle gyms have faded away and members of the Kenbrink Residents Association decided to repaint all of the structures in the park. Ward 104 councillor Mike Wood said, “A neat and tidy park can uplift a suburb. The playground has seen better days, I was impressed when Sandy Heidstra contacted me to arrange the painting project.”

Heidstra said, “I want to encourage residents to join the association and help to make Kensington B a better place.”

Wood said the park looked great after the repainting and clean-up. “I hope that residents and users of the area will keep it as clean as we left it and enjoy using the repainted equipment.”
