South African hearts swell with pride at #RWCfinal

SOUTH AFRICA – The Nation celebrates with smiles, hoots, chants and many tears.

Go Bokke, go!

An error-strewn first-half performance from England made South Africa’s job slightly easier than they may have expected. The England team that dismantled New Zealand last week was a shadow of itself but take nothing away for the Springboks who delivered when it matters most.

All the first-half points came from the boots of Handre Pollard and Owen Farrell with Pollard outscoring his English counterpart 12-6. The Springboks executed the basics well and the forward pack dominated the scrums giving them the psychological edge going into half time.

England came out fresher and hungrier looking to stage a comeback. They looked busier and more creative but couldn’t turn that into points. On 66 minutes with South Africa edging it 18-12, Makazole Mapimpi sent the Springbok fans into delirium. Lukhanyo Am recovered Mapimpi’s kick and Mapimpi was in support to score South Africa’s first try in any of their two previous finals.

Cheslin Kolbe then put the cherry on top with a ruthless side step beating several English defenders to seal another incredible moment in South African history. South Africa would finish 32-12 victors sending the entire nation into wild celebrations.

Well done, Boks!
