The King’s School Robin Hills welcomes little ones

ROBIN HILLS – The first day of school for The King's School Robin Hills is met with excitement.

The King’s School Robin Hills recently welcomed more than 60 new Grade 1s who began their very first year of school.

Parents dropped off their little ones for their first day who were welcomed by the principal of the school, Pat Fanner.

She said, “Every year it is exciting to welcome new faces and I am looking forward to a year of teaching and learning. Last year we bade farewell to about 20 matrics who started Grade 1 with us and we hope that in 12 years time we hope the class of 2017 will do the same.”

She added that they were looking forward to teaching the new Grade 1s to read, write and count.

One grandfather, Eric van Blerk said he was proud to drop off his grandchildren at school as it brought back memories of his daughter’s first day at the school in 1983.

“So many of the children who schooled here are parents and they have brought their children. It is evidence of God’s generational blessing,” he said.
