Hoërskool Randburg gets 241 distinctions

FONTAINEBLEAU – The class of 2016 looks forwards to a brighter future with great Matric marks.

Hoërskool Randburg has proudly achieved a 100 per cent Matric pass rate for their 2016 year. Proud principal, Pieter Booysen lauded the 150 learners who sat for the exams and said that it was only possible through hard work and dedication.

The school scooped 241 distinctions overall and Booysen encouraged the class of 2017 to maintain the standard their predecessors set. “We are extremely proud of our learners, as the school celebrated 50 years this year and our learners lived up to our expectations. We would also like to congratulate the school’s teachers for their hard work throughout the year,” Booysen said.

He pointed out that what set Hoerskoël Randburg apart was that they balanced school activities that equipped their learners, with self confidence that not only took them through varsity but to the work place.

 

 

The top learners for the school were:

• Marisa Von Maltitz obtained an average of 93 per cent with eight distinctions
• Nici Zaayman obtained an average of 91 per cent with seven distinctions
• Zelda Spijkerman obtained an average of 90 per cent with seven distinctions
• Raymond Walters obtained an average of 89 per cent with seven distinctions
• Lizl van Jaarsveld obtained an average of 89 per cent with six distinctions
• Caren Pretorius obtained an average of 88 per cent with eight distinctions
• Daniel Venter obtained an average of 87 per cent with seven distinctions
• Charlize Burger obtained an average of 86 per cent with six distinctions
• Mariska Fourie obtained an average of 86 per cent with seven distinctions
• Joanie Louw obtained an average of 85 per cent with five distinctions
• Carl Theunen obtained an average of 85 per cent with five distinctions
• Elouise Barnard obtained an average of 84 per cent with six distinctions
• Michelle Fouchewho obtained an average of 84 per cent with seven distinctions.
