The Soil blew the crowd away at Silverstar Casino with their Heritage Day performance on 24 September. The show was opened by Zulu Boy an artist who is well known for his cultural Zulu rap music.

The Soil presently consists of three members. Buhlebendalo Mda, Ntsika Ngxanga and Luphindo Ngxanga form part of the a cappella trio. The trio have been together since 2003 and their

experience on stage vibrated through the entire venue.Ngxanga wore full Xhosa regalia with the traditional face paint that pleased the crowd immensely as it was a celebration of Heritage Day

They started the show with a bang and sang some of their crowd pleasing songs that had the audience singing along to hit songs like Andinanto and Soweto from their latest album titled Nostalgic Moments.

A surprised birthday girl was serenaded with the birthday song much to the pleasure of the crowd.

They finished their stellar performance with their smash hit Susan which ended the night on a high note. Fhumulani Khadi who attended the event with his friends said that he enjoyed the event immensely and it was a great way to end Heritage Day.”It was definitely worth every cent I paid for the ticket and more. What I love about the Soil is their ethnicity. It is really inspiring,” he added. Sfiso Dlamini said that he was a huge fan of The Soil and watched them as often as he could as they have an original concept and were truly a South African product.”I have watched them performing about six times and I get goosebumps every time I see them. I just can’t get enough and I loved the way they ended the show with a bang,” he said.
