GALLERY: Magical Medieval Fayre

NOOITGEDACHT – Come rain, come shine the fayre was merry indeed.

Knights, ladies, princesses and princes joined the Magical Medieval Fayre at the Ball and All Driving Range on 5 September.

Neigh-Bours organised a fantastic event for the second time running and despite lots of rain, there was lots of fun for everyone.

An array of magical, medieval and make-believe characters crowded the muddy fields eager to enjoy a truly magical event.

The stalls were lined with delicious home-brewed beers and spirits to warm the hearts of all visitors.

The adventurous participants competed in jousting tournaments as well as sword fighting and pillow fights.

The usual fayre jester brought humour and a fierce potty mouth to the rainy day while encouraging those who dared to throw tomatoes right at his face.

The Irish Wolfhound Rescue Foundation sported their enormous pups and Husky Rescue and Rat Rescue joined in the fun.

The cos-play was a massive highlight for those who were dressed in impressive attires such as, Brave Heart, Adventure Time, Esmeralda, a green faced witch and many more.

Many food stalls kept the bellies full and delighted by pulled pork paninis and massive hot dogs.

Prizes were given those who showed the most spirit for their character and the fayre.

First place went to Esmeralda, second place went to the lady from Game of Throwns and third to Brave Heart himself.
