rAge 2014

NORTHGATE- Coca-Cola Dome was recently jam packed with gaming enthusiast's to rAge Expo 2014.

The city was blown away by the rAge Expo 2014 on 10 to 12 October at the Coca-Cola Dome.

rAge called all game players from all walks of life.

During the expo different exhibitors displayed various products from games to comics.

Michael James, owner and organiser of rAge, has been running the expo for 12 years.

”Every year there are more people and more exhibitors, we have worked really hard to make the event more accessible to the public and guests,” said James. ”This year the whole show is different, the fantasy that we have created for the youth and gamer’s of all kinds to enjoy this great experience. This [rAge] is my passion , it is however always an exciting challenge to make it happen, I am thrilled to put this event on every year,” he added.

The expo is aimed at organising Local Area Network (LANs) where expert players gather for three days to compete in teams to win each individual tournament.

The players take this very seriously, practising for months at a time to be the over all victor of their particular game, such as Call of Duty, Counter Strike and Mortal Kombat.

Cosplay enthusiasts littered the expo, dressed in their favourite game or comic character. Stalls hosted new innovations in the gaming experience and well as display demonstrations of new games. Families dressed up together and enjoyed fun-filled days with absolutely no reason to be not entertained as there was something do to in every camp of the expo.
