Model and talent auditions

RANDPARK RIDGE – Figures Models Randburg hosts its first auditions for prestigious event.

Figures Models Randburg held its first auditions for next year’s International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) at Randridge Mall, Randpark Ridge, on 27 September. The IMTA in New York, United States of America, is an excellent opportunity to kick-start a career in entertainment, as only agents from the world’s most prestigious fashion and entertainment agencies are permitted to scout for talent at it (see previous article).

Many people aged 10 and up auditioned for modelling, acting, singing and dancing, and those who were successful will attend the semi-final auditions at the Roodepoort Theatre on 16 November. The final auditions will be held on 14 and 15 February next year, where one model, one actor, one singer and one dancer will receive an all expenses paid trip to the IMTA in New York, representing Figures Models Randburg.

“We had quality today,” said Figures Models Randburg owner Merlene Spies. “Very few didn’t make it. I’m really impressed.” Some of those who auditioned and were successful expressed their joy. “This is an unbelievable feeling,” said Leshego Dolamo, who auditioned for modelling. “I’ve always wanted to be a model and now I can.”

Dylan Kleynhans, who played his guitar and sang, said that the audition was all he thought about recently and he was very happy to be successful. Anathi Rubela was successful in his audition for acting. “It feels like I’m coming closer to realising my dreams,” he said.
