Ann Harding Cheshire Homes for the physically disabled and supported by the Rotary Club Randburg held their annual Golf Day at Eagle Canyon Golf Club on 30 September.

The first team tee off at 11.32am for a 4-ball course.

There were many teams that participated in the event and companies such as Real Net Randburg which sponsored the first hole.

Money raised will be used by the Ann Harding Cheshire Homes to thoroughly equip them with extra funds to support their initiatives at the home.

After a very windy day the golfers and visitors attended a dinner at the Eagle Canyon Club house.

Entertainment ranged from comic relief from Dix Voster, to a charity auction for holiday getaways and other exciting projects.

Chairman of the Ann Harding Cheshire Homes and a member of Rotary Club Phil Hall said, “The Rotary international raise funds for those less fortunate than ourselves…we strive to find inventive ways to raise money and part you [the audience] with your funds.”

The winning team was Cassie Lessing, Dave Nagel, Ken Watt and Pieter Jacobson with a score of 89.

The ‘Fun Hole’ put winner, which was the person with the closest ball to the hole was Dave Nagel.

The event as a whole disseminated a great sense of awareness for the work done at Ann Harding Cheshire Homes and the support given by Rotary Club Randburg.
