Fast cars and fun runs: Johannesburg’s thrilling weekend unveiled

A weekend packed with high-speed action and community spirit unfolded in Johannesburg with the Red Bull Showrun and SPAR Women’s Challenge.

Yesterday, the Red Bull Showrun transformed Sandton into a motorsport spectacle, as fans cheered on former F1 driver David Coulthard who took the wheel of the stunning Red Bull Racing F1 car in a spectacular display of power and precision.

At the same time, the SPAR Women’s Challenge showcased its strength with Glenrose Xaba claiming victory in 00:32:48 minutes, amidst a sea of approximately 10 000 colourful participants celebrating the joy of running at Mark’s Park Sports Club.

In Rosebank, the St John’s College Tutu Walk added a meaningful touch to the weekend, celebrating the life and contributions of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, promoting a sense of community throughout Johannesburg.
