SuperC Energy Drink teams up with SuperSport Schools to support young athletes

South Africa’s beloved SuperC Energy Drink teams up with SuperSport Schools to fuel student-athletes, promoting hydration and active lifestyles at sports festivals across the country.

SuperC Energy Drink, a well-loved South African brand, has entered into an exciting new partnership with SuperSport Schools, South Africa’s premier school sports platform and exclusive channel on DSTV Channel 216. This collaboration seeks to boost the performance of young athletes nationwide while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices through education, community outreach, and product sampling.

As the official hydration partner for SuperSport Schools, SuperC Energy Drink will feature prominently at sports matches and festivals across the country. SuperSport Schools will provide coverage of sporting events for all age groups and abilities, offering viewers live and on-demand content at no cost. Through this partnership, both SuperC and SuperSport Schools aim to raise awareness about the critical role of proper hydration and nutrition in sports, ensuring young athletes receive the support they need to excel.

Kelvin Watt, CEO of SuperSport Schools, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, “Proper hydration is key for young athletes to perform at their peak. SuperC Energy Drink aligns perfectly with our mission to provide excellent support for student-athletes. We’re thrilled to introduce SuperC Energy Drink as a refreshing and energising choice at our events and festivals.”

A brand with over 40 years of history, SuperC originally gained popularity as South Africa’s ‘original energy sweet’. In 2024, the brand launched SuperC Energy Drink, a glucose-based drink fortified with Vitamin C and Zinc to provide energy and boost immunity. Unlike traditional energy drinks, SuperC Energy Drink is caffeine-free and instead relies on glucose to fuel sports enthusiasts of all ages.

Kershnee Kallee, portfolio manager for energy and functional brands at BevCo, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership: “We’re excited to work with SuperSport Schools to offer young athletes a delicious and effective hydration solution. Together, we hope to enhance their sporting experience while promoting active and healthy lifestyles.”

The partnership will initially focus on brand awareness and product sampling, with SuperC Energy Drink being introduced at four to five schools each month. As the relationship grows, both brands plan to explore further opportunities for collaboration, emphasising their joint commitment to the success and development of young athletes.
