  1. Manager of Tintswalo Safari Lodge shot; fighting for her life

Emily Leuner, manager of the luxury Tintswalo Safari Lodge in Manyeleti Game Reserve outside Hoedspruit in Limpopo, is currently fighting for her life after she was shot four times.

According to a source, Leuner survived the shooting and was taken to the Tintswalo Hospital in Acornhoek. She is currently being transferred to the Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.

2. Missing father from Mbombela found in mortuary after N4 accident

After many desperate messages on Facebook, searching for their beloved father, a family from Mbombela has found him in a KaBokweni mortuary. John Loock (54) was hit and killed by a vehicle on the N4 near Mbombela.

3. Watch: Teammates pay respect to parents of Kempton Park rugby player (17)

Community members joined friends and teammates of Emmanuel Makwiting (17) at Hoërskool Jeugland on July 19 for a remembrance ceremony.

Emmanuel tragically died after sustaining a serious neck injury during a rugby game against Pietersburg High School in Polokwane on July 13. He was the captain of the school’s second rugby team, and played the position of forward.
